Uniting Church

Network Four was engaged by the Uniting Church in Australia, Synod of Victoria and Tasmania to provide strategic advice on the closure of Acacia College in Mernda.The Synod had an arrangement with a development company to build the Prep to Year 12 school and lease it to the Church.

The arrangement failed and the Church was forced to provide loan funds to the developer to continue the building program. An internal review revealed the project and the operation of the school was unsustainable. The Church made the difficult decision to announce the school would be closed and is currently engaged in discussions with other education providers to buy the school.
